Dr Kowachik and his staff are committed to promoting the health and well being of all members of the community.

Dr. Kowachik uses a "whole person approach" when taking care of his patients. By combining the very best hands-on-technique, state of the art physiotherapy procedures, and providing the newest and best natural vitamins and mineral supplements on the market today, Dr. Kowachik is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dr. Jeff Kowachik grew up in the Fort Lauderdale/Plantation area after moving there from New Jersey in 1971. He previously practiced in St. Petersburg, Fl. at the Farkas Chiropractic Clinic and Wellness Center

Dr. Kowachik, or simply Dr. Jeff, to many of his patients, decided to become a chiropractor after experiencing the many benefits he received while under care himself. He first sought chiropractic care, like many people first do, after injuring his back at work. A few years later Dr. Jeff began having similar problems with his back and was also dealing with other health issues, including mild hypertension and numbness in his hands. He first sought treatment from his medical doctors and after undergoing surgery and several rounds of medications, none of these conditions had changed and some had even worsened. Running out of options, Dr. Jeff found himself once again seeking chiropractic care as a last resort. The chiropractor he saw this time taught Dr. Jeff how pressure on his spinal nerves was not only causing his pain but also interfering with his body's ability to function properly and contributing to his other health issues. After several months of treatment, his back pain was much better, his blood pressure was at near normal levels and the numbness in his hands was gone. He no longer needed to take any pain medication either and soon found himself back to being his usual happy self again. It was shortly after this that Dr. Jeff decided to change careers and become a Chiropractor so he could set out to teach others the benefits of chiropractic and the importance of a healthy spine and nervous system.

Dr. Kowachik completed his undergraduate work at Tulane University in New Orleans and later graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While completing the program at Palmer, Dr. Kowachik was very committed to learning and developing his skills to their fullest. He was chosen to work as a teaching assistant in the Anatomy and Diagnosis departments and he completed additional course work in Management of Low Back Pain, Physical Therapy, and Advanced Adjusting Techniques utilizing the Gonstead, Cox, SOT and Palmer Upper Cervical procedures. Dr. Kowachik was chosen to participate in the Palmer Clinic Abroad program, where he traveled to remote parts of Brazil providing chiropractic care to the citizens of the nearby villages and towns. Dr. Kowachik's commitment to excellence remained high, and resulted in his being named to the Presidential Scholar's List for Academic Achievement and receiving the Palmer Achievement Award Scholarship. He was awarded membership into the Pi Tau Delta Chiropractic Honor Society graduating with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, and shared the distinction of being Co-Valedictorian of his graduating class. He is currently working on his Diplomate in Nutrition.

Dr. Jeff has always had a desire to teach and help others, often taking tutoring positions, working as a high school marching band instructor and spending many weekends building houses with Habitat for Humanity or helping with other charity groups such as Make-a-Wish and Hurricane Relief groups. While attending Palmer College he remained very community oriented throughout his schooling, organizing fund raisers at the local comedy club, giving health talks at the local elementary and junior high schools and participating in the annual Kid's Day America and Backpack Safety programs.
